Privacy policy

Xotoe is a game, not a data business. This page explains, in plain words, what the app and this website do (and don't do) with your information.

The short version

  • No accounts, sign-ups or logins.
  • No ads, analytics, tracking or third-party SDKs.
  • Nicknames and avatars never leave your phone.
  • Nothing is sold or shared, because nothing is collected.

Who we are

Xotoe (“the app”) is an independent Tic-Tac-Toe game developed by Ashwin Thomas (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the Xotoe mobile app and this website.

Information the app collects

We don't collect personal information. The app has no user accounts and no servers to send data to. Everything below stays on your device.

App storage is excluded from device cloud backups, and uninstalling Xotoe removes everything it stored.

Device permissions

  • Haptics / vibration: for haptic feedback when you tap buttons. You can turn system haptics off at any time.
  • Network access: included by default by the app framework. Xotoe doesn't use it to send or receive any personal data.

The app doesn't ask for your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or files.

Third parties

Xotoe has no advertising networks, analytics services, crash reporters or social logins. No information is shared with or sold to anyone.

This website

  • No cookies, analytics or tracking scripts. Fonts and images are served from this site.
  • Like any web host, the servers that deliver this site may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and time of request) for security and reliability. We don't use these logs to identify you.
  • Links to other sites, such as the developer's homepage, follow those sites' own policies.

Children

Xotoe is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no personal information, it doesn't knowingly collect data from children under 13 or anyone else.

Security

Only install Xotoe from Google Play or, once available, the App Store. Copies from anywhere else may have been modified.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever starts handling personal information (for example, online multiplayer), we'll update this page before that release ships and change the effective date above.
